On behalf of Clara, we created this page to help raise money to cover expenses as she fights for her life battling ALS. Clara’s health insurance does not cover all of the care she needs, and we as her family are struggling to make up the difference for the care she requires. We are reaching out to you so you can help make a difference in Clara’s life.

ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control muscles. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is a rapidly progressive and fatal neurological disease. In April 2016, Clara started losing control of her arms and legs. In August 2016, she was diagnosed with ALS. In a just a few months, the disease stole her ability to walk, move, feed herself, and live on her own. She now faces many challenges in coping with her day-to-day care. With the help of her mother, three daughters, three grandchildren, sons-in-law, and countless friends like you, we hope to help Clara fight her ALS and make her life as comfortable as possible.
