Clara now requires around-the-clock care. Right now, it is her daughters providing this care. As you can imagine, providing full-time care is challenging for her family. Providing the best care can be expensive. Unfortunately, Clara’s health insurance does not cover all of the care she needs, and her family is unable to provide for Clara as they would like—as she needs. We ask for your help to help her.

We would like to give Clara in-home nursing care to ensure the best possible care and to help relieve her family’s burden. In-home nursing care averages $20-$22 per hour. Clara needs a new wheel chair that fits her well, provides the necessary support for her neck and arms, and allows us to move her around comfortably. We need a ramp for the stairs from the front door to the sidewalk so we can wheel her safely in and out of the house for her doctors’ appointments. Eventually, we will need a lift to get her from her bed to the wheel chair and back into into her bed. We will also eventually need a handicap-accessible vehicle to transport her to a doctor or hospital. We don’t know how rapidly Clara’s disease will progress or how much more care she will need. We don’t know what unexpected costs lay ahead. We do know there will be some not-so-unexpected final expenses. Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated.
